Need Help Can't load or save because you can't click anything in the menu

Hi everyone,

I decided to get the latest version of POTC New Horzions and started a new game. After a while i saved the game successfully and continued playing. then later on i tried to save again and the menu didn't respond to the mouse or the keyboard. Therefore i wanted to load my old savegame so i restarted my pc and tried again but to no avail. I've included my system and build info logs.

I'm running on windows 10, yes. I didn't give me any trouble before (i've played it 2 months ago). I'll read the forum you suggested and see if there's anything there that will fix it.

Okay so i did some futher testing. it seems the "save", "load" and "delete" buttons aren't working. So it isn't the mouse or keyboard which aren't responding just the buttons themselves.

the fix posted in that topic I linked doesn't work?
 
Try deleting the file "options" which you'll find in the top level of the game installation folder. You'll need to re-enter your preferences through the Options menu.

Sometimes this file gets corrupted and all sorts of weirdness can result. This means deleting "options" can cure various types of weirdness. This may be another such case.
 
@Levis : Yeah I tried both of the links. The DXGL and the mouse fix but neither of them make any difference as far as i can tell.
@Grey Roger : I Deleted the options folder and started up the but I can't click the buttons.

UPDATE: I started a new game and so far i can save and load my game. I'll let you guys know if the bug reoccurs.

UDATE 2: It worked at first but after i closed the game an started it up later on i couldn't click the buttons anymore

Hi guys, similar problem here (or maybe a very different one? I hope someone more knowledgeable than myself might shed some light on this):

Can't load my saved game as the button doesn't seem to be working. I can navigate the load game menu with a keyboard and mouse and can try pressing the load game button, the animation and sound will fire but it then won't do anything. One other thing, trying to select the second saved game there is also very slow. Everything else in the menus work just fine... Have already been able to play as evidenced by the save game and have already been able to load this save game a few times even with this weirdess going on.

Fresh install here btw, updated with Jan 7 fixes.

Off topic: It has been too long since I have last visited PA, even my sig is gone! I think I may have to make a new one... :diomed Anyhow, hello to everyone old and new! :cheers

Changing the graphics driver settings for the game in the Nvidia Control Panel seems to have done the trick, thank you for pointing me in the right direction! The game also looks a lot better now... Looking forward to many sleepless nights of plunder :keith Love the game so far, aside from the past weirdness with some of the buttons as described, I am finding the new incarnation of the mod much more seamless and stable than it was a few years back. Great job guys! :cheers

Hi rico, can i just ask what it is that you did with your drivers
 
I experienced the same issue with Win 8.1., deleting options file didn't help, but it could be fixed by just changing the resolution in config to another one and back to the old one.
 
Have you been installed the Intel graphics Pack and ENB Improved Graphics programs? To me ENB Improved Graphics gave me problems and uninstalling I solved it
 
These were the things with the unchecked boxes offered to me when I was installing the mod, right? No, I didn't install these (the stuff with "high end gaming PC recommended" scared me^^). But as mentioned above, problem could be easily fixed for me by changing the resolution.
