Can't change boarder models

I've gone into the BuildSettings file and I've changed the BOARDERMODEL to "soldier" because I want Jack Aubrey to be fighting alongside red-coat Royal Navy marines. I've re-initialized the game multiple times but I always get the normal random models that fight with me.

Why is this? I have saved the file, I have reinitialized, but the boarder models haven't changed. I have raised the flag of Great Britain, but it doesn't matter what flag I raise, my boarders never change.

Someone help?

Can you please start a new game and check if it does work in there?

I followed the advice, and it does work. Thanks a lot: I guess this was just a small bug in the first game I started. Anyway, great job with the final Build 13, it's amazingly fun to play!
 
A bit of a challenge doesn't hurt.
As long as the challenge is gameplay-wise and not circumventing-bugs-wise. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

well, only the fact that now we have to rise our skills by the experience of the our actions, not only the experience of fight, it turns the game harder and more realistic....it is the best thing you guys could change <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

the other challenges are very better now....the game was too easy before, im sure everyone agrees ^^

Mostly because of idiot AI and over abundance of coin I find. A lot of the time I can sit with the enemy directly under my lee and he'll keep his bow pointed directly into my broadsides. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I actually made a 74 gun SOL strike with a corvette that way
 
We're trying to get the game balanced a bit better for Build 14.
But that's rather hard; almost harder than actual bug-fixing.
And that already is incredibly hard. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
