Cannon Fire

I have the mod 3.1.5. It's just magnificent but I would want that when I shoot the salvo of cannon, all cannons do not fire at the same time but rather a cannon after the other one. It's possible ? If yes which files it is necessary to modify ? Thank

Well I am not sure whether in real life cannons were fired at the same time to deliver a broadside-I guess MK is your man to answer that question-but here is a nice video of a broadside.
As for modding I am sure Luke will be answer that question for ye...
 
Well i haven't looked for any code for the timing of each gun been fired but since your skill effects the guns been fired, example at the start you can have 20 guns and fire a single broadside and have 1 fire then a few and then a 1 or 2. So i think it could be possible to make it work like that but looking at it in a more historical way the cannons wouldn't have been fired 1 by 1 in less they was aiming for something like a mast then maybe like in the movie M&C they did do that but how often would they have done it?

What would work better if first we can make it so you can fire guns 1 after the other would be to have it as an option like press and hold U on the keyboard will fire the guns 1 after the other, that i think would make it more realistic. However if it can't be done then maybe it can be done through the source code which might be sometime before anything like this is done (that is an if it can only be achieved that way) if it can be done through a normal file then that would be even better.
 
The only time a captain will fire a full broadside(all cannon at the same time), is when using grape shot, so they do max damage on the crew and use the smoke effect as cover to board the other ship. The rest of the time they will fire the cannons one at the time. The reason is that the ship is long and in motion, and most of the time when fighting cannons Vs cannons most captain will aim at a particular target, trying to hit that target with a full broadside will be hard but not if you fire them one at the time and let the motion reach your target. A good example of that is in Horatio Hornblower TV series movie. When in command of the Papillion he waits that the ship is on target with the first cannon(let the motion reach is target) then fire he's cannons one at the time aiming at the enemy ship magazine until it blow up. The reason why he fire them one at the time is because he got to wait for the other cannons to be in range of the target before fireing.

Here is the video which I took. I shall want that my artillery fire like that, they do not fire all at the same time because I have only 6 crew members. I want that with a complete crew(equipage), artillery fire in this speed(look), almost the one behind the other one and not all at the same time. A solution?

If your cannon skill (or the cannon skill of your cannoneer officer) is low, then you will fire your guns slowly like in the second vid.

And as long as we're on the subject of firing a broadside all at once, is it possible to make a ship lurch to the opposite side when you fire all the guns at once? I think that would look a little more realistic. It would also be cool if the ship tilted more if you have bigger guns, but one miracle at a time. :p
 
I don't want lose my skills of cannons, I think that by modifying lines in Cannon.ini, it can work , however I do not know to make. For you idea, it's difficult because it's necessary to make of programming ! But it's true that it would be more realistic with big cannons.
 
Maybe there could be a separate command for telling your crew to fire at will (like the forts) vs firing a full broadside (like the ships do now) at anything in range. Maybe you can turn this on/off like the run/walk toggle by holding shift and clicking to fire.
