Hey everybody!

First of all, please excuse my bad english.

I play the Build mod 13 and wanted to change some settings in the BuildSettings.h.
Is it right that i can only open it with the editor.exe? Because if i change some settings, i can't save them afterwards.

I would appreciate some help :)

P.S.: If i repair my Sails at the Shipyard the game tells me, "cannot start repair", even with enough money.

P.S.S.: I've read the FAQ ;P

Build 13? That is an old one. Have you tried using notepad? It works on the other files.

Can not start repair? If you have the money the sails should be repaired. I do not know what could be causing that problem.
 
Yes, since my english isn't that good, i thought i have to install the build 13 first.
I tried notepad but it says, in german: Zugriff verweigert. I think that means in english i don't have the permission to change something.
I will try notepad++ and will reply if it works or not :)

They don't repair because the whole 'sail?' is broken and it seems i can't repair that.
 
Ok, you have Build 13 installed. You can install Build 14 at any time, preferably to a clean stock game.

Zugriff verweigert = Access denied. Are you the administrator of your computer, or are you a user? Buildsettings.h opens with normal notepad, so if you are denied, then you must not have the proper authority.

I have never seen a case of the sails being so destroyed that they can not be repaired. What ship is it and what sail?
 
This sounds like Windows Security Stupidity.

Do you have the game in Program Files (or its German equivalent)? If so, I'd recommend moving it somewhere else.
 
Yes i'm the Admin, but notepad++ worked fine for me :)
I've just bought a new ship so the cannot repair problem is solved. (It was a Ketch)

So i have do uninstall the Build 13 to get Build 14?

You can install Build 14 Beta 3 on top of Build 13 as well; that should make no difference. :no
