As we are discussing in private as well, we want to move towards a proper public release of Build 14 Beta 3.3 .
Main intention with this is to fix and finish what we have, but not include any substantial content that could cause new issues.

Now is the time to think about this and post here if anything springs to mind!

If we can get all the above sorted, we'll have a very playable Beta 3.3 indeed.
Then perhaps we can actually do some actual playing!
And/or see about making some new gameplay enhancing features for Beta 3.4.

Most important things now still left to do:

The locked abilitys is kind of fixed already. if you remember the post I made before ;) just removing two locks should do the trick cause they where triggered by the fetch quest. But I will try to get the fetchquest back so they can actually be unlocked and wont be from the start.

Indeed! I remembered about that over dinner. :facepalm
Anyway, I've done that in my game version now. So that covers pretty much all important things for the next internal Beta 3.3, I think.
 
I think we covered all big ones now for Beta 3.3, so I'm now WinMerging and will do another release as soon as I'm finished compiling.

Then my intention is to keep this for internal testing to make sure it is as good as we can make it now,
until @Bartolomeu o Portugues has the Cartagena quest finished and then we should be ready to go public.
 
That still gives us another two weeks. More than enough for some proper testing, I suppose.
Might get a bit inconvenient if we want to start on some more substantial work for Beta 3.4 though.
 
We'll see how it goes then. Am uploading a new version now for testing in any case.

I will first try to finish up some of the bugs then and try to get the fetch quest back. If we delay it for 2 weeks or so I can really get the fetch quest back also which I think would be nice since it was in 3.1 also (I believe).

Sounds good! Indeed Beta 3.1 did have the Fetch Quests and I would very much like to see their return.
I really don't like going backwards on the content there with Beta 3.3. :facepalm
 
I noticed two of the skillbooks still dont have text in them.
Maybe someone like @Pillat could add some text to them?

its just putting somet text in the textfile nothing more :p.
in RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\ENGLISH\ItemDescribe.txt you can find the title and description of the book (or change it).
Note these books are used to unlock persk so keep it to the same subject ;).
You can find them in there by seaching for the filename of the txt file (so like skillbook2 etc).
 
Drat! That's weird, though. I could have sworn I pasted some Wikipedia texts into them.
But I cannot find any evidence of that now. Looks like those files have disappeared then.
 
An humble request: regarding the frequency of the episodes that happens around the archipelago, used as cause for the fetch quest:

I play VERY slowly ( in fact I sail up and down on the waves, for months, without a precise reason of life...) so the whole list of events happens and stops too early for me.
Do you think there is a possibility to make the whole thing more... diluted, via the game settings?

The fetch quest will be redone and Ill take this in account.

Maybe someone could also take a look at the loading messages and see if they are all still right and maybe if some should be added to Give tips about new things.
