Build 14 Alpha 7 Plus Full Version

Oh dear, oh dear. This doesn't sound good. Perhaps I should make another merge between Alpha 6 and Alpha 7 Plus, adding only that which I KNOW works and leaving out everything else. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

That sounds like a good idea. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
Then by adding other sections, section by section you could isolate the problem to be solved.

as for the new main quest if you follow it to a "T" it works. meaning if you do both the eitc quest and the original main quest in unison. the problems i'm experiancing are due to venturing off the quest for instance i started in redmond and i immediantly went and talked the the governor and then i went to oxbay to start the eitc quest because of that the game got funky (or at least i hope that's the reason. i haven't figured out were the flooding of the redmond residence hall fits in to this though).

It would just require a lot of work on my part. Unless somebody else wants to do a WinMerge compare between Alpha 6 and Alpha 7 Plus and merge all the working stuff into Alpha 6. I don't particularly want to do another big merge all over again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
well is there a way to limit dialog or options in the main quest. cause if you take the middle road or do both the original quest and the new quest it works fine. the problem is that as soon as you venture off of it and just do the eitc quest the game gets funky
 
I don't think the EITC quest is actually finished. Neither is the Dutch VOC version of the quest.

I will do a merge of Apha 6 and Alpha 7 plus
(I have them both on my computer)

Give me a day or two (as I have other commitments as well at the moment) but I will do it A.S.A.P.

Ahoy Pieter, Et, Al.

Good News. I got into Charleston and things seemed to work fine.

I think someone should take a hard look at boarding and the new decks. First there is the aforementioned gang fighting around the mast. All you can see are the blades, arms and tops of the heads. You can't get to them but they can get to you and since you can't get them they never stop fighting and you can't get off the deck. That makes this <u>a game killing bug.</u> Also in boarding the melee seems off. Some fight but a lot of people are just standing around with blades out doing nothing unless you attack them. Finally it seems harder to tell friend from foe in the melee.
 
I noticed sometimes when u moor at Charlestown the game will stick in 3D sailing mode. It won't freeze, but it won't change either, nor will it accept key commands. The only way out is crtl+alt+del.

Also Evil Stormy Start screws up the main quest because of the Tarteme (err however u spell that) only holds 45 tons of cargo. Also if you take the EIC quest and go to Redmond. If you speak to Tucker (the EIC guy) BEFORE you alert the Governor of the French Invasion, the Quest will break. You can't get the trigger to spark. The marine won't stop you outside the residence, Barbossa won't leave, and the Governor won't give you the first Oxbay recon mission.
 
Well, on the brighter side of things... i've gotton to the davy jones part. but he doesn't raise the pearl... he only says to you that you'd best head to the city. and iu reply that u should and then the conversation ends.

is something else supposed to happen?

It's in the Beckett dialog file.
(Not recommended to mess with unless you are familiar with editing)
