Build 13 Released!

i don't mind, i have the build now anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I have updated my site, adding several files useful for updating to Build 13 from previous versions. Update 1 Full can be installed on top of the Pre Build 13 Base version, while Update 1 can be installed on top of Beta 9. Both files contain some bugfixes and two new ships that were not included in Build 13, so it is recommended all Build 13 players get the update.
 
I do recommend that you do start a new game, yes. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
i've noticed that cayman is made out of conceciao and oxbay or redmond. but what is cuba made of? it looks like the west-most part is isla muelle, there is a bit of the quebradas costillas coast next to it, but what's the rest? i think the modders have done a very good job melting those together.
 
it happens with me a lot as well, but i recently managed to get on. i think that the island is to big for your computer to load. however, nobody seems to be able to enter santiago. la havana is accesable, but santiago is seemingly not finished yet. you should try entering cuba at the la havana half. that should work. i've noticed that if i enter there, it's fine, but if i try to enter on the other half of the island, it crashes. the la havana half is the half closest to cayman and fartest from redmond.

but ... unfortunately i had one misunderstanding <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> vhen i tried to buy a ship which is class 4 or higher, there is a text ''cannot buy-class too high'' what is this problem? i have enough money so i dont understand <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
It means that your level isn't high enough to buy the ship - you can't just cheat and buy the best ship at the start of the game. IMO, this should be implemented for capturing too...

i havent make any cheats (yet) but i have my own methods how to make money

go up more levels. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> level 7 isn't that high at all, so it isn't that surprising. at level 10, you should be able to buy a galleon. which i never do, but still. the quickest way to get a good ship is by boarding the corvette which you have to defeat in a mission you get from the governor at falaise de fleur. it always flees, so it shouldn't be that hard. as long as your ship can go 16 knots (in the stats), you should be fine. a xebec or especially a schooner should be enough. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> using the sail to function to get to the ship fast helps a lot. as a matter of fact, you often get the chance to board it while using a slower ship if you end up in front of it and the wind direction is right.
 
I've been away for ages, because I've become a skinner for Star Wars Battlefront 2, but this is great news, looks like I'm going to have to reinstall PotC.

Wow I almost clocked 80 hours on POTC build mods... More than likely more ..judging by all the saved game folders...I think build 13.9 where I beat the game was over 40..and I have 6 more folders...hmmmm More than likely its closer to 180 hours....but who 's countin...

I wonder what ever happened to AoP ?
