Bruck Storyline: Annamaria Missing!

What I did is very tricky and I cant really explain it as it is multiple changes to code lines :modding

The thing I dont get is even when I try and execute the code through the console (with no other game factors) it still doesnt work :no

This is why I cant believe rearranging worked
 
But it worked for me. I don't know exactly why, it just did! Do you have the nerves to explain in details what did you do to a man like me? :D And if you don't mind attach your fixed file please :)
 
my fixed file is not a fix file, I am constantly changing it and some of the things in there are quite broken (WIP)

I dont want someone who hasnt got experience try to do it, as they will probably stuff up causing a bigger bug which in turn will be harder to fix
 
Then what am I supposed to do? I run into another bug - after blowing up my ship I can still get aboard it and the storm scene doesn't appear. I can't be rearanging the code all the time. There should be another way....
 
Like I have said from the start, rearranging the code is not the answer in the first place I dont think :no
 
I feel how we are spinnin round in a circle :D I got that the rearranging is not the proper way, but I want to know what it is then :)
 
I downloaded b14 lite and copied it's quest_reaction.c for JS into build14 beta full and finally finished this storyline without big troubles :)

I had the same problem: Tia Dalma did not show up at Muscetto Cove had installed build 14 beta 1 (full) with patch 1 after reading this topic i downloaded b14 lite and copied it's quest_reaction.c for JS into the matching directory of my game installation (the 2 files have different sizes).
I can confirm that this is working well, i found Tia Dalma with out starting a new game and can play on now.

I wish i wasnt such a modding noob and could help you a little with all this hard work. :shrug
 
No, without replacing of the build 14 beta 1 full quest_reaction.c with the build 14 beta 1 light quest_reaction.c
annamaria was not at the lighthouse.

After replacing the file i can talk to her at the lighthouse but the next thing is when i go to port royal with cuttler beckett he does
not appear at the dock but stays on his ship all the time, weird.
 
I'm not sure, but the thing with Cutler Becket was fixed in Patch 1. So my advice - play your game with the full build 14 plus patch 1 and when you escort becket to port royal switch your quest_reaction.c with this one from the Lite version(for jack sparrow).
 
im having the same problem she isnt at the lighthouse, i have 3 map, and the EITC passport

ive replace the file before i met those 2 npc, but i still cant find Annamaria at the lighthouse
 
I know this is a bug Im just to busy to fix it unfortunantly... 6 assignments in 3 weeks is quite a workload :yes

I think you have to replace the file before meeting Annamaria for the first time
 
Hello everyone,

I'm playing the Ming Storyline and Tia Dalma is never at Muscetto Cave. How can I fix this? I read in this thread that I have to replace the quest_reaction.c with the one of the Lite version? So could I continue an ongoing game which is saved right after doing the "free the officer" quest? Should I switch back to the patch- quest_reaction.c file after I met Tia Dalma?

Will I get any differences if I continue the game with this quest_reaction.c from the Lite version? E.G. Sidequest?

I also have this bug with Skull in the Broke-Brinkley Storyline. I can talk to him but he only says that I have to leave his house.


One other thing which doesn't exactly fits in this thread: Can someone tell me the plot of the Broke - Brinkley Storyline? I know there is this Walkthrough but I doesn't explain what happens and what the characters say.
There are so many different ways to go in that storyline and I'm to lazy to play it. (I want to continue my Ming Game and rule the sea!) I'm especially interested in the parts of BB Turner and James Norrington.
I would be very thankful if somebody could tell me the story. (PM)

Now I want to thank the storywriters of the Hoist the Colours Storyline! Very interesting and fascinating story.

Yep you will loose those various updates if you do the quest_reaction change :yes

I am going to have a look (with Pieter) on fixing the characters not turning up and hopefully can manage it soon ;)

I havnt got time atm but if I am not to tired after hockey I will happilly tell you the story :)
 
I haven't got a laptop at the moment, but when I do, I'll happily see what I can do when it comes to fixing some stuff in Build 14 Beta 1 Patch 1. :yes

I'm really looking forward to your answer with the story, Captain Maggee.

One short question:
It's Ming Storyline with Gibbs stay on the ship. Who knocks me out? And why does Jack Sparrow know this Captain Damski and surprisingly Annamaria? I can't remember that I already met them. Who sailed my ship to Turks? Who are these Captains: Captain Petros, Captain Willemoes, Captain Damski, Jack Rackham,Capt Drow and these other Captains? That confuses me a little bit.
And after I accepted Davy Jones offer is in the Questbook written that I have to meet Barbossa AGAIN, but I also never met him.
