Blood Mod?? and other questions

This are some questions from one confused and drunken Pirate!

I would like to know if there is a blood mod for POTC..and if there is one..where to get it.. because i've heard that it was possible to put blood into the game although i haven't found a mod that does it...<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

Recently i've installed the post build12 mod and the new islands from Pieter Boelen's page.. It's amazing! the islands are very well done! and open may open many doors to future quests..but i don't know if it is me or the mod, because i can't set anchor in many of the new islands.. can someone tell me why?
is it cuz' it ain't done or its just my game?

And can someone tell me if there is any hope of seeing the A&M and SLiB mods tranlated to English? Can Someone tell what new features does this mod have? cuz' I don't understand a word they say in the russian site..nor even the letters! but for the pics i've seen i looks sweet!!

And to End i would like to know if there will be another buil mod with all the stuff from build12(improved if possible) plus the post build stuff as well as the russian stuff and new mods?

I heard somewhere that translation was taking place but it wasn't ready yet, I don't know if that was rumor or not though. If someone has been working on it and is a decent way through, I'd be willing to pitch in a hand and help with what I can. I imagine alot of it could be translated with translation programs and someone would just have to go through and edit it to make sure it sound right. Of course, I could be completely wrong on that too.
 
Those islands are from A&M, ported by Screwface and placed in PB12 by Pieter. So you're already tasting a bit of A&M. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
And yeah, the new locs aren't done so you can't land.
 
And what about a Blood Mod?... a pirates game should be a bit more gory don't ya think? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

where can i find one for POTC?
 
I don't know of one.
Shouldn't be too hard to create a particlesystem whenever a character dies though.
You'd probably also want the flying-bodies mod for ship combat too (search should find it, IIRC skull posted it?).

add after:

Then you need to add a new particle system in resource\ini\particles\particles.ini and make the name blood.
Copy and paste an existing one as a start and change the name inside the [xxx] to blood.
Then you'll need to make a red blood texture and have the system use that, and tweak the settings of the system to taste.

That'll only create blood on death, not on hits, though.

no problem if the knave only bleeds when killed..my character can kill at the first strike.. and how about the Build pack? is there any chance that it might be finished before AOP is released? can't wait to get my hands on that treasure..=) is uspose the mods for POTC will be easily passed to AOP..it would be fun... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />
 
Fraid I'm more working on -decreasing- the violence (or at least adding options); but if you get stuck give a holler and maybe I can point you in the right direction.
The PB12 pack is, while it still has some bugs, eminently playable (SFAIK, been out for a while); b12 is still available if you want to stay with the last main version.
