Thanks Catalina. I'll be trying that. I reckon the problem might've been caused by adding more characters to the filename then originally were there. I can't seem to get UltraEdit, because I can't go and pay for it, right? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

It's a free demo download, but there's probably a time limit on it. IMO, the minimal amount of money you will pay to activate the software is well worth it.

HOWEVER, maybe you should try the freeware ones listed in the Wiki -

Actually you can change the skin with the tool, too: Convert the texture to tga and point the tool to the directory it is in. Then load the model, go to Scene / Edit Scene, select the model in the tree view in the upper left and then simply choose the texture from the combo box and save the model in the main window.
This way you don't have to hex-edit.

Inez, have I told you that "Tool" of yours is simply amazing?!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />

Only trying to contribute in my own small way to that project - the "Build" - which is simply amazing ... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Well, I suppose that's what any of us are trying to do, contribute to the whole and make it better. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Weird, thought I did do head models.
Yup. Guess I never uploaded them. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />
Thanks for the fix, Cat. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Rod Hull: The armor and all is from the A&M mod; I just did the facework. Grabbed Amiele Berangere (what is he, corsair2? corsair3?)'s mouth, did some photoshopping. His cheeks need some work, though, a little too sharp.
That whole collection was basically my antidote to the "Evil twins" people had been doing--how about some "good twins", sez I. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
