I have been doing this for myself for a while, but I wanted to check with anyone who has a model on which they have used the Tool by Inez to swap the head...

Would you mind if I did the head-swap in Cinema 4D, in order to eliminate the gaps that someones appear in the model?<ul><li> Cat, I know Fanielle has this problem. What do you say, Cat?
</li><li>Alan, Beatrice (whom I also gave a more feminine shape) had this a too. What do you say, Alan?</li></ul>I know there are others too, but those are the ones I have been working on for now - so, anyone who made a model with head-swap, do I have your approval to "remake" them, changing nothing but the head?

It's great that you've worked out how to solve the "gap" problem. I will have to go through my "swapped" files and see if there's anything there I wished was a bit more "connected"... Maybe you could tackle those models too...

Well, it is simply a matter of grabbing the head itself from the original model and put it where the swapped head goes. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Sure that'd be great Lass, thanks for offering. I especially had trouble getting the girl pirate with the eyepatch anywhere close to matching up right.

ladyinred is another head I swapped, and along with what you listed those are the only head-swapped models of mine in the modpack, though when I find where I put them all, I have several more around here waiting to be released, solo or in quests.

For me, don't think any of mine were swaps.

I am mainly out to correct those with gaps in their necks/chins and that... But switching body parts otherwise works, to a certain extent. Trouble is they can get gaps and start to use a lot of different textures... But maybe now with Nathan's new invention we can fix that too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
What's Nathan's invention? I haven't noticed anything in my quick skimming of the threads.

I think I switched two blacksmith heads... the Pirate guy and the Dutch guy.
 
Not my 'invention,' by any stretch. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Just a minitool to allow you to edit UV coordinates (and thus combine all textures onto one page) without screwing up the bone numbers Inez encodes into the UVs. Well, not without; it just reads the old coords and pastes the required bits on the new coords.
Somewhere in the New Characters thread we talk about it, and Inez has uploaded it and integrated it into the Tool (see the Tool's thread).

Sorry, no - have used up all my vacation's modding time with bedlocators and trying to make an interface for buildsettings.h.
But I'll be back to my "regular work" (fiddling with models and animations) as soon as the latter is finished.
