Attacking Forts

I did buy a <b>BATTLESHIP</b> and i really agreed, it will be the best choice, you will start with REALLY FAST RELOAD CANNONS! and then just buy alot of bombs, i will now set sail and head for <u>Greenford Fort</u>
 
Ive been playing the game for a while, I've got 2 Frigates, so I decided to attack a fort. But when I tried attacking Isla Mulle, it seemed un beatable. It kept saying 'For Cannon Exploded' but when I looked through my spyglass, the fort had taken no damage. Is the game just messed up, or am I doing something wronge?
 
I heard one of the best ships to use when capturing a fort is the Manowar. Is the only way to get one of these ships by capturing it from the governor of Redmond who tries to stop you on your way to the Inca temple? You can't buy them from any port, and I really need one at the moment.
 
For all I know, MoW's (Manowar) are normally buyable from larger towns. If they don't have any, come back later. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
Is MoW's able at the NON-Mod version, when you just installed it ?
I really dont like build mod 12, so i decided to reinstall my POTC!
 
Nope. They're not buyable in the unmodded version. You can easily set them to buyable though. Somewhere in Ships\Ships_init.c search for the MoW and set "canbuy" to 1 or something like that.
