As a old, old Pirate! from wayyy back (I owned the original C64 and Amiga versions) I was very happy to hear that Sid was doing a sequel. I LOVE the game! It's everything the original was and much much more.
However I have a question. I was looking at my config.ini and although I have the settings turned all the way up in game, my config was not maxed out.
My water detail was 3 (not 4) my object detail was 2 (not 3) and my world detail was 5 (not 6). I have an Nvidia Geforce 6800GT and I'm guessing these settings are being forced because the highest settings are ATI only shaders. Oh, and if I set the config to the max numbers (which I got from the readme file) then it resets all of my settings to 1 when I start the game.
Can anyone confirm this?
Is there anyway to get around this where I can play the game in ALL of its glory? This really hacks me off when video card companies/game companies do this junk.
Thanks,
TheErk
