Does any one remember Operation Flashpoint? Bohemia Interactive has put out a successor to the OPF tactical shooter / sim throne.

ArmA is a first person tactical military shooter with large elements of realism and simulation. This game features a blend of large-scale military conflict spread over large areas alongside the more closed quarters battle

Hey mate - looks like a good game, although I read somewhere that the controls are messed up and the graphics aren't as good as they are in the screenshots. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> But I'm definitely going to try the game out. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
I've played the demo a few times in the past week and its quite good imo. It has a bit of that RedOrchestra feel to it in regards to weapons but with a modern twist.
 
I think with regards the graphics; it's really going to depend on your system and how high you want to pump up the settings.

I haven't had a problem with the controls; I think some things could be streamlined a bit, such as the command controls for example.

Yes it's certainly not an arcade game or a run and gun shooter or light sim. R.O. is a good contemporary comparison for those not familiar with OPF.
 
I got the d/l English version, its quite fun though the guns are a challenge to master. Its similiar to RO in the sense that the gun physisc are quite relaistic, otherwise the two are pretty much totally different games.

With one of the sniper rifles I cant hit anything with it, youd think with the scope it would be easier, I even try to compensate distance by aiming a little higher but I cant seem to get my mark.
