Trust me the wait will be worth it.I have the russian version,And so far its up to 1.4 and its still pretty bugged.

i looked at the akella homepage and it said age of pirates release date:april 2006
but april 2006 is already passed
 
It seems no one is updating that website anyway <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> , so do npt believe the april release date (like that will be hard <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> ) there is however a official website of AoP, you can find it underthe link section if i am not mistaking. If there will be asite te date will be announced it will moste likely be there. for now we can gain a slight fuzzy feeling that maybe the game will be released in june.............just maybe, or not <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
Like was said already current release date is 30. june(on offical site forum gathered information),somebody posted also that woulbe be RD a week earlier but is not very likely IMO...

But it was confirmed by admins there that by end of june should be out...so let's wait <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hello everyone,

let me start by apologizing for the lack of updates, and I'd like to point out why this is like it is:

First, as it has been noted in some of the posts in this forum, the initial Russian release version had some bugs and issues, and we have continuosly worked on polishing the game and sorting out these issues. We have now received the (hopefully) final release candidate that we consider suitable for release.

Second, please understand that, while we are a publisher, we are not a distributor and therefore do not actually sell the game to the retailers. We sell our games to distributors who then come up with a plan on how and when to release the game.

We have been in negotiations with potential Distributors for a while, and have finally made a deal with a major partner who will release AOPCT worldwide. As long as this wasn't clear, we have just not been in a position to state any release dates; simply because the release date is not up to us. I understand that to you this looks like we are not communicating, but as a fact we just couldn't really make any reliable statement, and this is what you are waiting for.

We are about to announce this new partnership during the next 5-10 days, and will then hopefully get a reliable release date from our partner on when the game will actually be in stores.

If it was on us, we would give you AOPCT yesterday, however we just cannot influence it.

I hope you understand a little better now why we simply could not make a reliable statement.

We are still looking forward for a successful release soon, and will keep you updated the minute we have news on this issue.

we'll see but i think not...if game gone gold then we can expect it in a week in larger countries..

i think that will be out in first week in July...
 
I was looking at several Uk online games sites trying to find the game inlisted as pre-order as a 30 june release but couldn't find any but kept reading here that the game is still coming by end of june , now it is clear , no game in june .. maybe somewhere in july , if u look at the game info at IGN - <a href="http://pc.ign.com/objects/743/743985.html" target="_blank">http://pc.ign.com/objects/743/743985.html</a> u will find the European release is at 30 Sep 06 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsdown.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2dn" border="0" alt="thumbsdown.gif" />
 
The game hasn't officially gone gold yet. They have announced they have a "likely candidate" for it. And I still think mid July. The ink still hasn't dried on the distributor yet, and it takes a lot longer than a week to put together any packaging and shipping units.

Still ... I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting for it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
