Age of Pirates! A huge fiasko?

Well with all this delaying i will choose NOT to buy "Age of Pirates" when or even if (!?) it will ever be released. I might check the Low-Price-Barrels in supermarkets for the game in a couple of years though.
I am soooo disapointed in Akella and Playlogic.

I think ...to a degree Akella isnt at fault here, As far as I know playlogic have the game ready to go, now if you believe muldini the wait is because theyhad trouble getting a distributer...........i do find that hard, it's not like the game just appeared out of nowhere.

Playlogic i think have been cautious to see how the disney titles are going before they make their decision wether to cash in on the rush or, if the sales are bad for disney wait till it gets a bit colder and the yanks stay inside more often, hence buying more games.

Some of the reports out, and what someone says on the AOP forum, is that Akella mentioned having a gold release, but PlayLogic took awhile to get back to them. PlayLogic isn't handling the distribution of the game, therefore there is the delay there as well.

I wouldn't boycott it. It's not fair to Akella. There is more behind it.

I am going to buy POTC the legend of jack sparrow first, a nice hack and slash adventure. So i can play another kind of pirate game until AOP comes out

My experience with games that have been delayed to long is sure to be a huge big ass flop!! But who knows maybe they blow my mind and leave me shocked along the way. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />
Not likely though but somewhere deep in my mind i really hope im misstaken.

I don't think AOP will be a flop or/and be a bad game !
I think they just improve the gameplay of POTC, but no basic thing, as far as I know,
will be changed. Maybe its just like a "Build 20" of POTC , but I wouldn't have problem with this.
By the way ,the most important thing is that it is easy to mod !

Good grief, went to the official AOP:CT forum today and all it looks like is one big pissing match over there ...

Okay, so they admit that it will be using Starforce ... check. People either deal with it or they don't. It's that simple. I don't like any form of copy protection software on my PC, but then again, the whole O/S is a copy protection machine (*cough* Windows *cough*) ...

Post after post read how people are bitching about how they will not buy the game because of delays, starforce, etc. etc ... The game isn't even out for our market yet! Let it fly and let's see what happens: Fight or Flight.

No matter the deal, I'm excited to see what the game has in store!
