Hello mates,

I have have updated the FTP with my latest work from the "CoAS_1.2.3_HE" mod witch includes:

All the files I got to work with the English version of CoAS such as modules, Program, and RESOURCE files.

8 "new to CoAS" ships from various sources including:

BOUNTY with sailorpoints!
ENTERPRISE with sailorpoints!
INTERCEPTOR
LYDIA with sailorpoints!
CONSTITUTION with sailorpoints!
SURPRISE
BOUSSOLE
SOLEIL_ROYAL with sailorpoints!

Total of 36 ships working ingame and i am working on porting the rest of the ships from PotC Build Mod.

4 nice hero as well as 18 available characters including Yoko, Angelica, Danielle and Jeremy Pitt who you can have as your main character of find ingame as your officer.

I have enjoyed using the characters and the resolution, lighting and new textures are awesome! Hope you can use these towards the new combined mod. I left them in my Craiggo folder in the FTP site in a folder called Test. It has the file structure intact. I didn't see the point of redundant files on the FTP server so that is why I did not put them under the "Pirates 2 - CMP" folder.

how much time did you need to spend for downloading the mod of craiggo from the ftp. well i have been downloading it for 8 hours and it still hasn't finished. Can you tell me the size of the file 'Test'.
Can you also please tell me how to use the mod i mean how to install or make the mod work.
 
Well i tried to download the mod of yours from ftp commander. I was downloading it but it never ended. i have been downloading at an average rate of 20K/sec for 8 hours. still it did not finish. so can you give me an estimated time of how long it will take to download? Can you tell me the size of the file "test"? Or if it is too big can you please make a winzip archive for that?

can you please tell me how to apply the mod? Please state step by step.

It's ~520 MB. Good luck downloading that with 20k/s.

Maybe a compressed version would be nice?

Sorry mates, Iv been out of the loop a bit. I was spending some good quality time with the Family this weekend hear in Nevada, USA. I will upload a compressed file to the FTP site ASAP with nothing but the ship files in it. It will start you out with the Interceptor plus some extra goodies if you put the Program/characters/RPGUtilite.c file in your files.

Hey Craggio glad you enjoyed the weekend mon.

So as i take it, you are uploading a new TEST file to the FTP with just the new ships or new ships AND textures that work for the hardcore mod?

The old test file upon using as a mod seemed quite buggy in the tavern, even some quests became broken, like the fedex trader quests.

Right now i am using the textures of the hardcore mod as outlined in another thread, and the game is runnning bug-free with new textures.. but no new ships.

I guess i could find out the hard way by downloading/testing but i've started/re-started so many times ore the past week im frustrated to have to start again.

Some info on just adding the new ships would be appreciated thanks !
 
I! I am adding a ship file that is compressed. I know it is a bit buggy but so far I haven't had any trouble. But then again, I haven't gone on many quests either. I just get problems when I load a game after I have changed some files such as new ships.

The FTP is going rally slow for me to so I am having trouble uploading this file. Its 117 MB

Where can I find this info? "Right now i am using the textures of the hardcore mod as outlined in another thread"

Okay the above post of mine did not work with the new ships.rar you put on the ftp. The only part of the hardcore mod i have is just the textures folder copied into the ships.rar the reason is stated below.

Here is how my game is runnning (mostly) bug free. Ive run into some weird interface issues but a hard restart of the computer fixed those.

I unloaded ALL mods from my game using the mod enabler JGME or whatever. I put your Ships folder into the mod folder for JGME and ran the game (always starting a new game as diego). All new ships had no texures (white) for the hull. I then UNLOADED the mod in JGME (I am starting to understand this program, always unload all mods whenever changing files within them!)

To get the textures for the ships working, i copied/pasted the TEXTURES folder from your TEST folder from the FTP into the Ships mod.

Now i have a bug free game with new ships, and some differnt character portraits and item icons (leftover from the TEST file) that work.

I am thinking the next step is to try to add more features from the hardcore mod (this is where the ships are from no?) but then testing with new games as we add features we know work, because the TEST file you made does indeed add a lot to the game, but also manages to break a lot of questing.

For now though, im going to go PLAY the game and enjoy the new ships i see.

Oh yeah one more thing, im getting 1500kbps on the ftp everytime i use it.. so not everyone has slow speed.

One one more thing, in the ships.rar one file is broken inzane_bell.tx.tga. I deleted the .rar and redownloaded, same problem. but i already had that file from your TEST folder, so i just copy/pased that in.
 
The extra ships are from the Build mod for PotC. The other stuff is from 1.2.3 HE.

Hey Craiggo,

I tried downloading that file, I get decompression errors. I downloaded it 3 times with different clients, and tried decompressing it with various tools, could you pls check file integrity?

And what exactly is in that zip file now? Just the ships, or the starting chars, too?

And did you add / change the Packet Brigs? I think they're a bit overpowered for a lvl 6 ship, I got one with 24cal guns, 184 crew (not overloaded), 17 knots... (using your uncompressed files)

The ships.rar file had a broken inzane_bell.tga.tx and that was it for me, i just copied that same file from Craggios test folder and it worked, but then in-game all new ships had no hull textures, so i copied the entire textures folder from Craggios test folder into the ships mod.

when using craiggios test file as a mod, numerous bugs occur, however, using his ships.rar plus the textures from the test folder, there are no bugs, and you can play with the new ships. This method however will only add new ships, not starting characters or professions like in the hardcore mod.

Can you guys give me a example of what kind of bugs you are seeing!
 
Well, I'm using the uncompressed version only and don't have any bugs that I can see.

Only thing is, I simply CANT find purloined ships, no matter what, but I guess that's just my dumb luck...
