Add a Chat appalet/function

I was just think maybe a nice chat appalet or maybe even start an irc room if thats a bit too much trouble.Just for those of us who find our selves carrying out a conversation by replying every few minutes to a thread in a forum,where it is a forum and it's great to have activity but some posts just clutter things up and sometimes cause confusion.It was just an idea for reasons such as quick collaboration on a certain tweak or mod a few people are working on at the moment or just to make small talk netween forum pals that doesnt really have a place on the forums.Anywho this isn't a bug nor problem,but this was the best place I could find to post this suggestion and by no means take this as critisism or as a indicator that i'm unhappy with your forums in any way,it's quite the contrary,I was just trying to make my favourite pirate game related forum even better if at all possible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

Actually ...

We had an IRC at one point.

And we were working on a chat site not too long ago but couldn't get it off the ground. I'll take a look at everything and let you know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

No rush bro,as I said I love this forum and it's rather laid back attitude,I mean i'm not(not anymore atleast) a huge forum user but i've been a member on tons where if you posted anything other than "i'm an idiot and everyone else reading this is a computer god" got you nothing but flames.Here you can ask questions and give your opinion without fearing an uneven response.The chat idea was just to help members communicate a bit easier and hopefully make the the forum mods/admins life a bit easier and possibly even at times make some threads a bit easier to browse and follow. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

No believe me I totally agree with you on the chat. Keith's been wanting to do it for awhile, I just suck at getting anything put together.

As far as the forum goes, yeah we are pretty kicked back. We do it because we love it, not because we expect to make money off of it. We try to keep the boards civil, but if you have an opinion - never be afraid to voice it. A Captain is nothing without Sailors, and a Forum is nothing without Users. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Yeah chat, was an idea a while ago having alook around at other forums chats I think we need like 10,000 members before it would be used properly...imho thougyh

Why not make a channelon EFNET or some other network and post it as a topic here, whomever wants to enter IRC can go there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> nothing too serious.
