Well, first you need a modelling program of course

this required planning, i studied the selection of ships in PoTC, and then found one the matched closley to the draught i had.

I then imported it into milkshape3d(modelling program) and then i used the draught as background and overlayed the model, i then proceeded to sculpt the hull by manipulating vertexes to match the draught, voila! basic hull done.

Right, slight update while i figure out how to convert

The sloops armaments have been upgraded, shes still armed with 10 long guns, but in addition now also 12 swivel guns

From reading other posts on the forum i understand that most ships use default mast models from the stock ships? if that is the case i aim to split up this model and use the new masts seen in the pic for it.

Is there any step by step tutorial on how to get compleatly new ship model into the game? like i mean not the game setup but the model setup

ok im having some problems here, when i load the .X file on my ship it just wants to read on material and one texture, it compleatly ignores all my other textures <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
