<!--QuoteBegin-"PM to AlexusB"+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("PM to AlexusB")</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Hello AlexusB,
I wanted to ask you if you are fine with me (or other people) using resource files from the A&M Mod for the Build. As long as the A&M Mod modding team is properly credited, of course. We wouldn't want to pass on any of your work as our own. I believe someone (you?) once said that we were free to use the resource files for our own purposes, but I would like to ask for permission once more.
I have been working on a Post Build 12 Mods compilation for the Build for quite some time and I'm trying to add in as many new stuff as I can find, so that includes any new stuff from the A&M Mod that I can add. I already added in several character skins and Maximus has used the A&M Mod's interface files and ideas to create an improved user interface for the Build. The A&M Mod's new added islands are also being worked on to get into the Build. On <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.net" target="_blank">Pieter's Pirates Page</a>, you can see what work from the A&M Mod has already been added into the Post Build 12 Modpack.
I would also like to quote something I wrote some time ago in the <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=5869" target="_blank">New Interface Released For Download</a>, but haven't got any reply to from anyone working on the A&M Mod:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I would also want to thank everyone from the A&M modding team for doing the great work which this has been based on. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
And while we're at the point of talking about stuff taken from the A&M mod: I also want to say that I have taken several character models from the A&M mod and put them into my Post Build 12 compilation (which can be found at <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.net" target="_blank">Pieter's Pirates Page</a>). I haven't taken credit for making the models (I'm not so good at making human-like models and am terrible at texturing anyway), so I've only taken credit* for merging them in. I recall once hearing that we could use the files from the A&M Mod for the Build, so I sincerely hope you don't mind... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
*credit in this case means that the models are merged into initModels.c like this:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1--> // --> PB Merges
makeref(model,Models[n]);
model.description = "I want to dress out like someone really, really poor. Don't ask me why.";
model.id = "brodyag1"; // From the A&M Mod
model.price = 1;
model.assigned = true;
n++;
// PB Merges <--<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->As you can see, it does say the models came from the A&M Mod, so I hope this is OK with you...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
With your permission, I would like to make a zip file containing all the new A&M Mod work and make it available for download so that all the modders here can use the files for their own mods. That would include character models, weapons models, ship models and location models.
In return, I would want to offer that you may use all mods that I have worked on in the A&M Mod, if you like. That is, of course, a feeble return, because I haven't done much at all yet, but it is the only thing I can offer in return. And, of course, I would make sure that all the A&M Mod work will be credited to the A&M Mod modding team.
Thanks for reading this lengthy PM and thanks in advance for your reply. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
