Hi guys. Thanks for the info William, looking forward to the article! Does anyone know how i can get the Limited Edition in South Africa? If I order it from EBgames, i have to pay $59 for shipping, which is a lot more than the game! I think that is ridiculous... In south Africa, they are selling the normal version of Pirates, but `no-one` is offering the LE.. Just wondering if any of you guys would know a cheaper alternative... maybe if i contacted Atari? Thanks

Aleric - That price sounds awful.

From my understanding approximately 25,000 copies will be made of Pirates! LE , and will only be sold in North America. Hey, mate - Find out much it would be for Fed Ex or UPS to ship it internationally separate from the purchase. We might be able to hook ya up.

If you send it with USPS air mail, at least to europe, it costs 9.85 Dollars. And if you say it`s a present, at least to germany, you don`t need to pay an entry fee.
 
So what if you purchase it, and have it shipped to one of us and we ship it to you? If that beats the $59 shipping charge?

it should.... but i dont know what the postal service wants for shipping to south africa....
 
Well, Aleric, if you are willing to wait 4 to 6 weeks after purchasing it to receive it - shipping can be as low as 10 bucks ... any faster and any bigger than what I am expecting the package to be and you're looking at least around $20.00 and up.

Yup, William and I worked it out, and all of his comments are just as germane to the public version 4 months ago as they are now (though obviously he has better information about the game). Some of the other forums with betatesters in the program will be writing preview articles as well. I promise not to be too snippy with the scissors if I can help it. I want you guys to have as much of a chance to speak about the game as the "big" gaming sites that cover a bazillion different holiday games.
