a few thoughts

I think it would be neat in the future versions if the player somehow could get the ability to dual weild wepons, so that they could use two swords or two pistols, to get the specific ability, the plaey would have to have expert gunman, professional fencer, and the defense upgrade. I think this could be a logical upgrade, for realism sake, because people would use pistols in both hands or swords, however it took a master to be able to use them. However I have no clue how to go about creating such a thing, but i think it might be possible to mirror the scripting/effects for the one arm to the other arm, and create a menue for weapons on each arm.

My other idea, may have been previously adressed, however it is probably the most complicated, or to me at least. Its making the game multi player, it has some intersting potential, but the thing is you run into issues with time and fast forwarding, but it still would be cool to see.

nice ideas but unfortunetly it aint that simple to make the player use 2 swords a pistols u would need proper animation sets as for multiplayer would be hard or even impossible to code such stuff in besides every one's bussy with somethin fixing bugs etc <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />
 
Both ideas have been proposed before.
As ZarethPL says, they're either hard to achieve or impossible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
Duel weapons...."no", I added pistol 2 to a model with a locator.....resulted in the sword swapping side next to the original pistol. Don't think the engine agreed with the idea.

maeby we should first make proper animations for the dual fencing and then code them in ,couse i think a sipmple locator and code swap wouldent even work BTW is there any way we could port prsesnt anis back to maya then we could rework them for our need's ????
 
For fighting with dual blades, the animation is probably the least of your worries.
First you'd need to convince the engine to let you do it.
Most likely this is not going to happen any time soon and possibly not even ever.
 
I didn't know, i have had little practicle experience programming, I just thaught i would throw it out there, I already figured multiplayer was out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thpirateshipff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":piratesahoy!" border="0" alt="thpirateshipff.gif" /> (thats the biggist smiley i ever saw)
 
Most of us had little to no experience in modding when we started.
You can learn. Especially with some help, which we're always willing to provide. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
