    No, they appear in 3rd person view. It doesn't matter if going to Open Sea from Worldmap or from the Port. As long as there are ships in the vicinity there is a high probabiliy of crashes. I have two save games, where it's more than 50% crash, when directly going to Sea.

    Are you sure you killed the correct pirate? Sometimes there are more than one pirates. Better kill them all.

    I think that this strange ship-merging / ship at full HP bug for some ships might also be related to the crashes we experience with the Ship_Move function (Sendmessage to AI thread). It seems some ships are messed up for an unknown reason, which then leads to these bugs and crashes.

    Actually you are right - I don't want to do that, at least not in the near future. I think it is more important to solve CTD bugs (like the one with the AI, which is driving me crazy) than cosmetic ones like this one. Pieter, do you have an idea about that bug (in topic SendMessage to AI)?

    Ain't that included in the Build 14 Alpha7 released by Pirate_KK? At least some of the bugs are gone with the Alpha7 (e.g. Deadly Pirate bug)
