    The HMS Agamemnon

Well, some 60s or 74s lost an entire gundeck during a refit so a repositioning of the whales is certainly possible :g1 Especially if a different layout of the whales on vessels of a similiar size (or even later built, modified sister ships) was thought to have more advantages. Ship building has...

    The HMS Agamemnon

How big are the differences? IIRC the Agi went through various refits during her rather long career and the differences might be a result of those.

    PotC Build Mod Ship Cleanup

Or OpenOffice :D That would be quite cool, the stock frigate/corvette models are based on napoleonic/war of 1812 era ships anyway. Splitting the frigate class in two categories - small 20 to 24 gun ships like the Greyhound and 40 to 44 gun ship withs two decks - would be more historically...

    WIP The HMS Southampton

Ahem...ready for release? No :(o) I´d say she´s at 50% now, both the Sphynx and the Southampton should be finished around Christmas :P

    The HMS Agamemnon

This is coming along very nicely :) Btw, did you UV-map the hull yet? If not, it may be a bit early to cut out the gunports as it just complicates the uv-mapping, especially if you´ve used a boolean operator.

    Released HMS Unicorn

Did you build the Corel kit? Thats known to be a bit inaccurate. :)

    Released HMS Unicorn

As I already said in a PM, she looks very good. Hope to see more WIP pics soonish :) Btw, as far as I know, your Unicorn was built in 1748, not in 1797. :doff

    Ship plans available online

An accurate 2nd rate would be nice to have, that´s true. But I´d love to see a french 60 or 70 gun ship (like this one). Plans for very similiar vessels from the same period are in the NMM admirality collection, btw. EDIT: A bit off topic, but a lot of very good pics of french scale...

    Mount and Blade - Pirates

Awesomesauce. I played Yoshi´s Pirate mod for M&B ...eer, .751? and it was pretty cool back then. Can´t wait to see what he can do with the warband engine. Keep us up to date, Thomas, will ya? :g1

    HMS Surprise

Looking good, Jack. But copper plates instead of white stuff would be better if you´re going for historical accuracy. :)

    Ship plans available online

Just want to share my collection of plans I´ve found on ze interrnets, some of them might be usefull for other 3D shipwrights :yes Orlogsbasen Mostly danish, french, english vessels. Plans are low res, so you may need some experience to be able to read them. NNM Admirality Collection...

    WIP The HMS Southampton

Thanks, MK :) Yup, I´d like to know what Gardiner says about gangways and skid booms. Lavery states that 'frigates were rather slower in adopting gangways and boat booms, and do not appear to have had them until the early 1800s' which is a bit off in my opinion, at least when it comes to...

    WIP The HMS Southampton

Thanks for your comments, Luke and EC. :) Just a quick update... I recently got in contact with the author of the plans (a very nice guy, btw) my model is based on and he pointed out a couple of inaccuracies which I´ll try to fix as soon as possible. Nothing major but it´s going to take...

    Ships or boats

*cries* Now thats what I call a good buy :P And thanks for the info about the 'Restoration Warship', its on my to-buy list now. Btw, the NMM recently updated their Van der Veldes online collection, most of the 1500 paintings/drawings/skechtes can even be enlarged now. For anyone interested...

    Ships or boats

Its 'Great Ships: The Battle Fleet of King Charles II', I think. And yes, its a bit pricey :P Here´s a cheaper one about the same period: Clickme! Dunno if its any good, though.
