Okay mates:

I am looking for some articles, and to see if anyone is up to writing them.

Sir Francis Drake (also known by me as being one pimp of a pir ... er ... "privateer". <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

We also need articles on Kidd, Calico, and anyone else that you want covered.

To submit an article - go to the main site at www.piratesahoy.net, login and go to 'Submit an Article' under the User Menu. Change the category to the proper spot and have at it. Please include corresponding photos, or drawings if possible, credit any works cited, and be thorough.
 
No firm deadline - but the sooner the better.

I've got my Drake report finished, but when I go to the main site and go to "Submit an Aitcle" , it tells me that I am not authoized to view it.

Let me know what I need to do. I hope you will like the report.
I came up with what I think is a fairly unique report format and with luck it won't cause too many problems.

Also, I focused my report on Drake's pirating activities over his efforts during the Armada and his "officially" sanctioned raiding of Spain. Ah Sir Christopher, I got my PotC Drake finished - Skull is going to use it in a mod he is making, but here's the pic of the model:

I debated on red or black for the outfit, and decided red was so much more distinctive... Also I had no clue about the color of that ribbon his medallion is on - but red black and white seemed to be in his heraldry, so I used it that way.

It was not really Skull's idea, per se, I have had a Drake skin on my mind for quite a while now, and when he mentioned he wanted to do up a quest where the main character would meet a famous pirate (he wanted a skin of Catalina, LOL), I suggested the Drake, which I'd been working on.

Drake, naturally, is a bit early for our time period, as he died in either 1595/6 (depending on who you ask), but hey... PotC isn't a real stickler for historical accuracy as it is... Maybe he's the great grandson of Drake, hm? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Understood, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> feel free to make any edits o changes that you want. I took a chance that the report will be able to be posted in the format that I used, but I can make changes if need be. You'll see what I'm talking about whern you get the report. I also inserted a section that may cause a little confusion, but I wrote a note to any teachers who receive my report as a homework assignment from a little pirate who copies the entire thing and hands it in without reading it first. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

Drake is so cool, and Mings and Morgan as well, they belong in the Gallagher skit, "We didn't know ya couldn't do that!" Like a couple modders of my acquaintance, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I figure a Cat -Skull collaboration is going to be a thing of beauty no matter what. ok ill publish it, but ill edit it aswell when i get back tonight, only thing is that the images are not like phpbb there is a small utility when using pictures that you use, but ill get onto that later atm people just need to press the links. Ive also changed the font to Veranda

Hey mate, I uploaded the photos to PA so they'd show better and changed the text around to a smaller Verdana. ... I can't figure out why the text rambles sooooo wide though.

I'll have a whack at fixing it.

I hail from Turkey, lands of the Turkish Corsairs

I have some articles about Turkish Corsairs like Barbarossa Brothers, Turgut Reis (Dragut Rais), Ulug Ali Rais, and i will submit them in the near future, i also have lots of pictures.
I have my own web site about Turkish Corsairs but it's only in Turkish for now.
