i've a game named by just Pirates Of The Caribbean (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/piratesofthecaribbean/index.html) in the site of moddb (http://www.moddb.com/games/pirates-of-the-caribbean) says your mod's are for that...
But under the topic of "Build 14 Alpha 8" (http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=12078) screenshots shows (http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=1962) the game is POTC - Legend of Jack Sparrow "official"(http://pirates.bethsoft.com/) so i downloaded b13_final but my game doesnt work, if it's true game i'll work on it but if it's not, i'll go and buy POTC-LOJS please help me about that issue. The base game is Pirates of the Caribbean, the game which you have. b13_final should work with your game; I have the same game, have installed b13_final, and it works for me. Could you describe in more detail what problems you are having? Does the game now refuse to load entirely or does it crash during play?

Build 14 Alpha 8 might work, but not as well; it is still being developed and you can expect it to have more bugs than Build 13 Final. Screen shots will bear little resemblance to the base game Pirates of the Caribbean as the mods have added new characters (including Jack Sparrow) as well as changing some of the screens. So you will see screen shots from the modified version which look nothing like what you have seen in the unmodified game.

B13_Final causes Blank screen problem.. i'm running game by storm engine, it shows loading screen then i click on New Game & an other loading screen and then it shows dark, blank screen <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> nothing more.. On the other hand i've two computer, other one appears the same problem, i think my original game may have problems but i can play it without build mods.

Try instaling another mod (Like russian SLiB <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/potc/SLiB%20Mod" target="_blank">here</a>... If it'll work, then problem with Downloaded build mod, if it'll crash too, then problem with your base game...

Place data1.slb, data2.slb, data3.slb, setup.rar in one folder and install addon... Other files are not req for instalation. They are just simple "updates". I'm not shure how to instal those...

i solved problem by buying a new game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> i installed B13 final then B14A8 now it's working, <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> in my opinion usage is harder on that build, on the other hand i confronted with some bugs;
1-) i cant anchor to jameica island
2-) i dont know how can i explane.. one of a npc dead in the city and it becomes a skeleton, with glowing lights <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> when i tryed to talk with it (i dont remember my answers) the game was crashed and closed (returned to desktop)
-What must i do? Can anyone confirm my bugs?

i'm still testing now, if i saw an other bug i'll write here...

B14A8 have that many bugs, that you can write here about ehm... infinite houers....

The PotC you're having is definitly the correct one.
There's three PotC games: the original, Legend of Jack Sparrow and At World's End.
Our mods are for the original version, which stars Nathaniel Hawk.
There indeed is a "Legend of Jack Sparrow" storyline in Build 14 Alpha 8.
However, there's nothing official about that.
In any case, if you follow the Build 13 Final installation instructions, it should work fine.
What language version do you have? Normal English?

The SLiB mod contains a lot of cool features, but it's Russian.
Therefore it's pretty much unplayable unless you're good at Russian. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

For the users who doesnt know russian can use googe translate (at least i'm using that) <a href="http://translate.google.com" target="_blank">http://translate.google.com</a> (for russian site's and forums)

is there any way combine Slib builds & u'r builds? i saw that game is programmed by C language.. i don't have good C knowlage but i can understand it and can make something on it (i know VB & C# librarys are very similar with C# as you know)

now i'm trying to work on my bug's.. then i'll try to add Slib's properties to u'r build.. if i reach success i'll write & link it here.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> but at first i've to solve C <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> so it's a bit far... Therefore we can neither translate it nor combine the code.
The only thing we can do is to use the RESOURCE files from the SLiB mod.
So that's characters and ships and locations and such.
Most of these are already in the Build now.
