Here we will display many of the original drawings from ships of the Age of Pirates! roughly between 1600-1700.
Please note, due to the nature of shibuild of this time accurate records of design do not exist. It was a metter of experience and techniques passed down from master to apprentice. There are many recorded drawings after 1700's however as the trade went from being guild secret to a proffesion which required records and such.
The collection of drawings here is probably the biggest on the internet due to it being free to see for anyone.
There are also drawings of model ships avalible here aswell. All threads will be marked in the topic wether they are an original or a model drawing for the historians, but for the modders anything will do <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/type_1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":nk" border="0" alt="type_1.gif" />
It's very possible that some of the information is innacurrate, while we do our best to keep it as real as possible mistakes are made. If you are aware of any mistakes please inform any of the PA! staff and we will fix it accordingly.
Also if you are from London, or Paris there are many prints available in the nautical museum there for a small fee which would be a great addition. Even if you just do the research of which ones are suitable I wouldn't mind organizing the fee and delivery of them.
