Infact, I'v become quite proud and fond of Russian pop culture and games.
Russia produces a wave of most beautiful and talented Tennis Players.
Russian music rocks aswell. Have you EVER heared Russian rap!?! It sounds AWESOME. Russian words are very tactful with strong intonations. Each word is like a beat, with a completely different curve, and yet cohesive. Sounds VERY nice. It "roles off the toungue". There is a song sung by T.a.T.u which also features rapping in the background.
Infact, I have 3 games which I love, which is made my a Russian company, one of them is Age of Pirates.
There's an incredibly popular franchise called "Night Watch" which is as popular in Russia as "LotR" or "Star Wars" is in America. In Russian it's called "Nochnoi Dozor". It became so popular, the game of which came to an international launch. I personally think the game sucks tho
but then again games based on franchises always suck.
I think i'm going to visit Russia some day. Gives me a good excuse to wear my black lamb leather trenchcoat, with a gothic cut.
When I see Russia, and their new beautiful and colorful flag, I no longer think "Corrupt", "Communism" or "Military". Now I think: "A country which suffered greatly and endlessly, reaching the light at the end of the tunnel as has just emerged out of darkness, springing forth with unleashed enthusiasm and creativity"
Okay; Dig this.
Russians are amazing poeple, who've been under bondage for so long.
I found the cover girl of "Nochnoi Dozor" very poetic. She has a very distinct east-european look to her (like a Czech girl) almost like Natalie Portman but paler. Dark hair, Dark eyes, very slender build, big eyes. Her look is very casual.. No make up, no stylish Gel, no nothing. Just 100% natural and "herself". She wears a cheap white top/doublet which is kinda like a mid-drift wife-beater. You can clearly see she's not wearing a bra. She wears jeans, and a nice fashion- belt to go with it.
That style is totally casual, nothing special at all, and yet it's very sexy, in a tacky kind of way. Her un-gelled hair flows naturally and curls up slightly in the end, giving her this very feminine touch.
THAT, for me, is Russia, folks.
