Solved Volcano? A ship or a Fort??

So I have been tasked in the Hornblower series to find and sink the volcano. I have just finished watching the cutscene where pellew speaks to the men on board. I have searched for the volcano on the east side of Martinique and still no joy. I have sunk a lot of french ships but still can’t find it!! Am I doing something wrong? Please help...


Edit: apparently I’ve already sunk the ship so I was searching for nothing. Well that was odd. It was only until I checked my quest book to see what was going on. Oh well. Post resolved I guess!
