I found a spare NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro 32MB laying around. Will that work if I disable shaders?

How can I tell if a card is supported by DirectX 9.0c?

probly,if ye turn all ingame video game settings down,turn off antianilizing for video card settings in yer control panel display options,recommend at least a GeoForce3 Titanium 64MB, minimum te play de game,even then ye need te play wid yer video settings te get a good balance O' gameplay <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

[/indent]Ok dont erase anything! I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000. I never changed my setings in the game and I was playing for like a month befor I got the mesage initialize Direct X. So I updated my vido card drivers changed all my settings anyway you could imagen, I even defraged my wife, downloded DX9 5 times, dxdiag.exe was fine except for the 3d which is fine, and still no change. So then I got pissed, and restarted my computer and i couldint remember what Fkey to hit to get safe mode to try your earlier comment, {so I hit them all}, and I exited out of the dos screen that poped up and let it start without anymore changes.
