The Flying Dutchman...

Here are some of the modifications I've made to the Pearl. I will update it when I do more.
On the broken railings how can I add faces to the ends?
Sorry to keep bugging everyone about maya, but the computer I use doesn't have an Internet connection, I talk to you guys via the family computer.

heheh. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> looks cool. would be nice to have a battle-scarred ship. wasn't there a piece of the foredeck rail gone as well? not sure though.

i think it would be better to have them as seperate ships. this would be the AWE version.

As far as I know, there isn't really anyone around who knows how to use Maya properly. Might I ask how you managed to import the Black Pearl in Maya properly? Can you export to GM with the plugin with Maya as well? I once tried to do that, but failed miserably.

if only we could somehow get models from sketchup into the game and the other way round. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

Putting models in Virtual Sailor is much easier than putting them in PotC and I recall that using Sketchup for that was also a real pain. It required a lot of complicated conversion processes and didn't really give very high quality models. So I can't see Sketchup being useful for PotC really. We really need to figure out Maya; that's the only way to do things PROPERLY as far as I know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

heheh.... wait till you've seen what I did with sketchup. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

Here you go then -

I moved all replies to Bonjourmonami's post to his own thread. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Yes, the WIP. It's been a while since we got a new picture, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for one and give the guy some good feedback if that's OK.

I'm sure it looks great though, Chris. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
