The best weapon mates????

Well i find starting out with a rapier is good as you get hit less, but when blocking you get pushed back a bit, when you get some of the items then change to a longsword as its even offence and defence, now this may just all be in my mind but i like it <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I agree, a rapier is a good balanced weapon. A Cutlass is better in attacking, I prefer it if the fight must be fast (for example if I had to less crew members) ,but you can not defense as good as a rapier or longsword. The longsword is the best defensive weapon but has lesser skills in attacking.

I also use the rapier, so I never lose a fencing duel. Fast attack is a good choice. I figured out how to trick them. When they duck I quickliy press the 4 button to hit him. It works!

Except for the duells with other nobles, I prefer the longsword. The rapier doesn´t do enough damage and the cutlass is too short.

so if you always win the fencing you dont play on hard level

always use at hard levels the longsword because if enemy hits and you
just defense you will be busy for a second because he hit that hard
so just try to take longsword and always jump or crowl if he make the moves
for it

dont try to hit him every time if he defense he will get more moral and
he will move faster as much moral he have and you will loose certanly
always try to demoralise him and you can press attack and at the same
time i mean just 0.001 sec after to tell him hes a noob so he want to
defense your first pressing to attack and you will tell him his a noob
and you will demoralise him

with rapir you will be fast but you will be very weak in defense and this
make you very slow in hard levels so just learn to fight right
