My desk at home is a Virtual Sea Battle. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Yep. Been playing this game for about two months. Great pirate board game. In June, ships from the American Revolution are supposed to be coming out.

Yes I have heard, I like the ships of the 16th and 17th century. The age of the tall sailing ships. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> and the golden age of piratcy. Histroy from 1600's and 1700's is just so fascinating. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />

I even have a Spanish piece of eight from 1738, taken off the pirate ship El Diablo, off of the Outter Banks in NC. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I've been collecting "Pirates of the Spanish Main" though I don't have anyone to play with. I haven't seen the other two yet, but I've been wanting to add "Pirates of the Crimson Coast" to my other "Pirates" collection.

Click on the links of Captain-Gwynn's post and it will tell you where to buy Pirates of The Crimson Coast, as it is out now. The American Revolution cards aren't out until June. I hope you can get some individual(s) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> to play the game with you as it is a great game. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I know where to buy them. I live in a small town and the nearest store doesn't carry anything but Pirates of the Spanish Main and sometimes they don't even have those. There's no love for pirates out here. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Welcome Anne Bonny, too bad the pirate hunters got all your mates were you live. But it is a great game. You must find someone to play it with. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

Anybody knows a 'normal' pirate table top game that's any good ? I think PIRACY isn't bad, but i don't have it yet.

Or did anyone try to make a pirate tabletop by himself ? Should be fun i think. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Dread Pirate is a fun table top game. It's a board game with cast ships and coins, some colored gems and bags, dice and game cards. The game board is a cloth "pirate map". It's for two to four players. It has beginner rules and advanced rules - the game play is fairly straight foward. The game comes in a wood treasure chest. It's not cheap though. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I saw some screenies, those gold dubloons are damn cool. It's not worth buying though just for those. Is there any other game which has <b>dubloon coins</b> ?

I'm also still searching for <b>Age of Sail miniatures</b> which are small enough for a typical tabletop. (<i>I don't consider the ship of Pirates of the Spanish main real miniatures, tbh.</i>)

Apparently it's possible to buy small additions to the Sid Meier's CIV tabletop, including small galeones or so. Need to check that out. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I was surprised when I picked up the bag of dubloons - I was expecting cheap plastic coins.

Did I forget to mention the pirate flag? The first person to make it to the Dread Island gets a special pirate flag that grants them special pirate privileges.

I don't know of any other pirate games that make use of miniatures but would love to know of others if they exist.

here is a copy of Dread Pirate found on ebay for $9.99 start bid.
