This is a BETA FIX, we need some kind of team testing this stuff while modders continue development.

Installation : Extract keeping directory structure to : Age of Pirates - Caribbean Tales


---------------------------CONTENTS---------------------------

SOUND :
- Included fmodex.dll old version to remove Beeping bug.

OFFICERS FLUSH :
- Added proper officers flushing so they return to their island when their ship is sink or killed by sword.
- Unlimited number of officers, permanent cycle.
- Hired Officers wont show at the queue of their island, the slot will be available again when the officer dies.

LOCATIONS :
- Fast travel buttons bugs at tortuga and fixes brothels that were crashing.
- Fixed location structure

BANK :
- Fixed Bank dialogs and math

SINK MODEL :
- The Sinking model works at 3D interface and map interface.
- The Sinking Visual Effect : The ships will be immersed into the sea when the hull damage is significative due to the water getting in ( also is combined with the cargo load )
- The Sinking Damage Model : The ships with hull damage lower than 30% will start loosing hull structure and sinking slowly, so ships damaged at battles must return to land for hull repairs ( repair at least at 30% so your crew is able to keep the water out )
 
Holly shit the CPU still beeps sometimes.

Analized the beeping and it might be related to Keyboard input interrupts, when you press too many keys simultaneusly your system will beep and thats a normal alert.

But why the hell the game beeps? we are not abusing of the keyboard arent we? lol

You say unlimited officers but then mention slot not available until the officer dies. Does this mean it is unlimited reset but still only 3 officers per island?

I am pretty sure I had a copy of code that allowed me to keep getting officers from the same island but I can't find that copy now. Maybe I was wrong. Well see if we can't figure it out.

BTW in your searches did you find anyplace that mentions what the authorized models are. I was experimenting with the female officers code but when i input new models the system says there are redundent entries and fails to load.

Well to explain it well, you can hire MAX 3 officers per island, if they die you can rehire them using this fix otherwise using stock version they will be lost foerever because they never returns.

About the models, never tried to mod them but there must be some kind of index that configures the files to be used, dunno how it works specifically.
 
People please, i keep saying do not call this supermod fixes specially with the old fmodex as that one is not compatible with all the bug fixes i made, it's not a beta fix until stated on the support forum where beta versions will become available and also for the people we do not make a new update for the supermod until we tested it and until our test team tested it for a few days.

SO the fixes here are not fixes for the Supermod specially with the old fmodex in there that doesn't work as it should.
 
i've tried ya beta update. it doesn't work with old savegame. i had 3fps(slowmotion).
so i've tried with a new one. the first time i board the ship i've heard several beeps then the game crashed.

Thanks for tha comments, however the game is too bugy that is a total shame, i think i am moving out of the modding since got other priorities in life and had much fun here but this game really cant be fixed without the source of the DLLS and EXE, in other words akella have lot of responsabilities fixing this game.

Was a pleasure to fix and dream with an awesome pirate game, it can be some day and i hope so.

You right my friend, however we have to accept akellas have done a great job, but no one is perfect.

Anyway, just uploaded to the FTP a compressed file that contains ALL of the settings and gameplay i am currently using so anyone can apply, mod it , or whatever in their wishes are, for me this version is great and crashes in the same way AoP uses to, dunno who will be able to fix the crashes but at least gameplay can improve.

This compressed file contains the version i like to play, might not be the like for everyone but maybe someone will love it, and thats the key of the modding, its just about share.

To install : You will need at least SuperMod 1.0 ( the good one for me ) and just extract the file over it.

Ideas of gameplay and credits goes to everyone, in my opinion everyone here has a great attitude to improve the game and thats the great value of AoP.

This Pirates Ahoy community is the best! thank you to all.

If anyone want to edit the source and adapt it to their own wishes ofcourse they are free, and if you fix something please tell me so we can maybe build a better game together.

Hey Meximaster mind about an update to your "fix pack" in order to follow the progress of the supermod content ?

Specifically your fix files didnt include the ship added by the update 1 and fixed by update 2, not a big deal so far, but btw are you sure that all the file included in the archive are needed ? Most of them have the exactly same date / hrs and size, so I wonder if they have been changed at all ?

Anyway great to see its some people involving in this community, thanks for that you have done so far.

I have the same bug. Beep sound when fire cannons, i press just one key and get ugly beep sound, anyone know how fix it? need some dll file or what?
 
please note that the fixes are not compatible with update 2 and 3 of the supermod updates, some people reported problems when using the fixes after the updates but also when they did the fixes before the updates so use them at your own risk and be aware that updates and future updates of the supermod will not be working as they should.
