Well, co-op, or outright purchase from a member or few.

You have to keep in mind that the current owners would have to agree to that as well, since the whois is non transfera(i)ble...i never get that right...

There are plenty of other free PhP boards out ther that we could relocate to if that were the case.

Maybe interested partys could start a donation/ under new management thread if it comes to that.

It will take time to organize this even if it the will is there to do it.

Glad we dug this up when we did..

I agree, it bought us some time to figure something out. If we don't hear from them soon we will need to start taking steps. Who else out there doesn't want to see this site sink beneath the waves?

My favourite forum, my hmepage, my desktop background, my hobby, my comunnity, OUR COMMUNITY !! Nooo! I am sure there is a lot of ppl that don't want their pirate hideout (the site xD) to expire! arrr!
 
We definitly can't allow losing everything we've got here. The main problem would be to simply CONTACT Keith and William at all so that we can know for sure what is going on. Perhaps there's nothing to worry about, but without any word from them, we'd never find out. And we can't pay for the domain either without their help. In that case we'd need to actually find one. And preferrably find a way to transfer all posts from this forum as well.

Most important, we don't want to lose the content here, especially our script.
 
i want as gift for x-mas one of the admins to UPDATE the site plzzz god helppp argh.. does anyone know some of the admins? do they know we are still active??? remember.. as the russians didn't know that we were still active.. maybe the admins tought that no new members are going to come and everyone is going to leave.. what if something happened to them?

I'm not sure if I administered this board that I would wait until the last minute to renew the domain or the hosting, which both expire on the same day BTW.

My hosting service for the website that I administer sends out renewal notices 90 days before they expire. So does the domain server.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with William or Keith outside of this site?

If not, chances are slim to none of getting in touch, and it will be over, like it or not.
 
hmmm... that may be TOTALLY off topic but.. what about the Russians.. maybe they know a way of transferring the forum to a new one?
