Sneaking into a town - what a mess! :-(

Hi fellas,

i have some trouble finding targets while sneaking in a town.

Got a hint from a gov's daughter that some creepy guy hides himself in Rio de la Hacha. But those spaniards aren't too friendly to me, maybe because I've raided many Spanish ships and towns. :-> I don't have enough men and wouldn't like to spend a lot of time hiring additional people, so I decided to sneak into town, assuming that the creepy guy is in the tavern as usual.

I know how to run (shift key), how to hide behind some hay bales. I know how to sneak up a guard and 'knock him down. But I am not able to find the tavern.

It seems that after I have been thrown into jail and escaped again, the tavern is just a few houses away from jail. The sound around this house is similar to the taverns sound. In every one of my games, I simply head north into town with minor detours. The first thing I find is the Gov's Mansion and if you walk "up" the east (right hand side) road you will find the Tavern, approx 2 blocks North.

I saw the arrows, but they seem a bit confusing to me.

Nevertheless, one have to be lucky to get to the tavern. some constellations of houses and guard routes make it almost impossible to get by...

Do you have a tool to make screenshots during the game? I want to show you someting really funny, but i dont know how to get a picture from it.

To make a Screenshot, press the "Print"-Key on your keyboard.
Then open the "Paint"-program, and press "`ctrl-v`".

thank you. Of course I already knew this. I made myself not clear enough. The `print-key` way forces to get to to the windows desktop every time you want to save the screenshot in a file. Is there a little tool which automatically saves the pictures to harddisk requested by a certain keystroke while the game is running? That's what i wanted to know.

Anyway, i got the screenshots, please take a look at the "Pirate with Nimbus?" thread.

Download a program called ScreenShotAssistant. That, and others like it, will automatically save the screenshots into a directory that you have specified.

you can also climb some walls if you dont know yet...... this is quite helpful instead of risking take the road where there are some spanish "candle" guys. follow arrows and usually the tavern is near the gov's house. i cant find the shipyard or the trademan. maybe its close during the nite ???

canucks33- You cannot get to those two locations when sneaking.. the assumption is that they are closed.
