silly question

is it worth my money to buy PotC? i've heard bad things about it, so i held off, but i love pirate games, so i want to know if y'all would recommend buying it... and if so, what's the recommendations for a system to play it on with minimal slowdowns and problems.

well this forum is going to be very biased. But I used to play PoTC and got bored after a week, I then found this forum (not sure how). And have been playing the game pretty much `non-stop` for 2 weeks.

You get to sail around attacking and boarding other ships, selling their plunder to buy better ships. Run around attacking people with your sword.

And I gotta say if you have a decent rig (mines a xp2500, ati radeon 9800 pro, 512 ram), the sea looks 'kin beautiful.

I used to play on a XP1600 with 512 and geforce fx5200 and it played fine.

if you like pirates and such i would say that even without the mods it would be worth it right now as the price has dropped but with the mods it is way more than worth it, the mods pretty much turn the game into the sea dogs 2 it was meant to be. thats just my opinion though.
