Shipwright refuses to talk to me!

As Bartolomeu, I must find an English Buccaneer by inquiring in the shipyards at speitowne. But they refuse to talk to me.
 
They probably refuse to talk to you because of your nationality, I dont think the shipwright is important though :facepalm

Shipwright is important. :yes

One of the shipwrights on Barbados tells you where to go to next in your search for Nathaniel Hawk.

So you must be able to talk to them. :)
 
It's your standing with their nationality that matters.
If you're at war with England, they don't like talking to you.
However, if you've got a high enough commerce skill,
then they do talk to you again because they're interested in your money.
 
Ok, then I will do some honest pirating against the Spanish or kill some bums in the Hispaiola jungle until I can level up on commerce.
 
Do you have the Auto Skill System off then?
Otherwise you need to trade stuff to have your commerce skill go up.
