Ships Path change

hey all,

Someone have a program so I can change the path in Recource>models>ships?

If yes, plz give me a small tutorial^^

what exactly you want change??
you can use the pathfile from other ships but that is not good. with other files you can walk across walls and stand on the sea.

is it your wish to create a new one try MAYA.

I wish to change some path files like the one of the Dauntless, it is not totally correct. and maybe I gonna try (not that it will work xD) so toy can climb in the crownest or something

We actually already HAVE a properly fixed Dauntless and Endeavour with proper path information and collision detection and such.
ZarethPL fixed a lot of ships recently. The Dauntless and Endeavour are still missing their crew walk files though.

I installed the unlimited Maya 5.0 but there I need a serial code or something, so my question is: if I install the complete maya do I need that code too?, because I don't wanna buy it xD
 
You should be able to install something from that link I gave.
Maya5.0.zip used to work, I think.

yep I downloaded Maya5.0.zip but by instalation I can choose from: unlimited and completed
by the unlimited I need a code...do I need a serie code or something by the completed too?
or do I need to download Maya5[1].0.zip?
 
I have NO idea. There must be some other members who know though.

but 1 question...how can I open GM files?
 
You can view them with the <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/build/tools/gmviewer.zip" target="_blank">GM Viewer</a> and Modify/Export with <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/build/tools/tool.rar" target="_blank">Ines Dias' TOOL</a>.

with which file export to MAYA??? GM don't work and VMRL also not, will x or something work?
 
GM Viewer>Export to OBJ
or
Ines Diaz' TOOL>Export to VRML
Then import the file in Maya. That's all I know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

And won't it be cool for some ships, that you can climb in the crownest if on sea, then you can look OVER the sails. I tried to make something in Maya 5.0 but the game crashes, still finding out why xD ( I make one for the Lugger1)
 
that cant be a good idea.

1.the path model nedds a texture. from the top it is invinsible but bottom you can see the deck.tga.

2.i think the engine crashs.

3. Youre not the first with this idea but nobody has a mod to climb the crowsnest.
 
If you make the texture an alpha map, you won't see it.
It would be fun to be able to climb up the rigging, but indeed it's been suggested and tried before.
