I'm not sure how all of the posts in the original Sherlock Holmes thread got deleted, but if these threads are restricted to subjects other than what was originally posted in the Sherlock Holmes threads, I would hope that a mod will straighten me out.

If this was an oversight, I accept that as an explaination.

If not, I would like to know why they were deleted?

They weren't deleted, Laz, its just that if no one posts in a thread for 30 days it disappears.

So what happens to older threads? Are they still accessable if someone wants to post in them?

Yes they are. If you want to see every thread just open up a topic (say, Alternative games) and look at the bottom right of the window. You'll see several scroll down options, click the one that says "30 Days" and scroll down to "show all" and then click "go" and you will see all the old threads for that topic. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I didn't know about it either, Pieter stumbled over it. I used to just type in the name of the old thread that had disappeared and got it back that way.
