Sea Dogs on the GTA: San Andreas engine

So apparently there's a mod for GTA: SA that uses assets from the Sea Dogs series, and I have also spotted some buildings from the first Fable game.

I'm impressed that the developers managed to get something to work at all.
But work wonders, it does not.
Not yet anyway.

Impression I get is that a lot of the town models are missing their "lighting information".
And the handling of that sailboat is good at exactly one thing:
Looking COMPLETELY HILARIOUS!!

There does seem to be promise though.
And even if not, at the very least it is a fun experiment.

It is based in speedboats in the GTA game, as a veteran resident of San Andreas, i recognise that from far.

For a more realistic look, the physics of this boat here slowed down would probably be the better solution.

I understand it.
Reminds me of the day I swapped out the manoeuvring characteristics of the Titanic with a small motorboat back in Virtual Sailor.
Handling went COMPLETELY BONKERS as expected.
Comedy gold, that was!

Well maybe you will have a different opinion of it if you try it.
Or maybe not. Only you can know.

If it's still being developed, maybe in the future it'll end up getting improved?

At the very least, it's fun to know it exists.
