I'm still wondering about this "slaves as commodities" business. Any chance we could use captured/rescued crew toward our awarded acreage, to increase yield and thus profit? Or... what becomes of them, if you have 400 dudes from a MoW in your hold?

Hmmm... I wonder if it would be possible to use a variety of models for the survivors...? Randomize them, possibly? For people playing around with the idea of one survivor for each passenger on a ship when it gets sunk, a few different floater models might look really cool out there bobbing in the waves...

Just a random idea...
 
You can probably copy the correct loman file and then hexedit it to point to a new texture, and then call that model too with the code.
Not perfect, but at least you'll get different colors in the water.
 
I tried the other lowresolution crewmodels, but only Loman worked without crash. Possibly he was in fact made for that purpose.
But i know nothing about modelling, so maybe someone else could do that.

The reputation gain may be a bit too generous. Shall we reduce that?

I agree the rep bonus is to high meaby .01 for rep per loman at 400 thats still going to add up
