reputation and cargo delivery mission

I took a delivery mission from Conceicao to Greenford (in the store). on the way there my reputation reduced to swindler for some reason and when I got to Greenford store the man wouldnt talk to me so I can't complete this mission.
Is there anything I can do? also it says in the questbook I have one month to deliver the cargo, so does that mean after one month this mission will be failed and I can get another delivery mission from a store?
This thing is so pissing me off the reputation just reduced for no reason
 
You need to get you reputation better, so the storekeepers will give you another mission. And yes, that means you have one month to deliver them. I usually set sail immeadedly, and don´t take any sidetrips. Also look out what you take as cargo. If you get sailcloth or other repair items, crews might use them and also mess the quest.
 
Yes I always get the direct route as well, I have had problems with this before, last time on the way I changed ship but the cargo was still the same.
After I get out of this mission I am planning to turn pirate become a complete scumbag, apparently that is so much easier and more fun.

I didnt kill anyone unless they attacked first

couldnt be because I usually remove them before entering a town.
I borrowed some money from Oxbay's loanshark but I paid him within a month. I also took some other missions which I have not yet completed cuz I wanted to make some money first, get a better ship and get more experience. Could it be because I took too long to complete a mission or something. :x
 
The only mission I am aware of that has time limits would be ship escort from the Tavern and Store cargo delivery.so if you took to long ye can't complete them an yer rep goes down <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
You should check back with the loanshark, and see how he reacts. I had the bug with the Redmond loanshark. I paid him back in time, but still got reputation reduction after 3 months, and he was pidded to me. I think he was very glad when I paid him back and he was ready to borrow some more to me.
OMG now I cant even get my ship fixed cuz the little piece of shit at the shipyard is telling me to get the fu*k out. I can only do business in the pirate port now and the annoying thing is there are so many pirate ships around there and I only have one class 4 ship.
If I still cant get my reputation up I am gonna have to start a new game <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_twisted.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":twisted:" border="0" alt="icon_twisted.gif" />

when you say that there are a lot of pirate ships around the pirate island it tells me that you are playing the game with build 11, if this is so then sail to any island but the French one, land on a beach, rather than at one of the ports, and go into the jungles where you should eventually get an encounter where a girl is being chased by three guys. Talk to the girl, kill the guys and your reputation will go back up for saving her.

If I'm wrong and you aren't playing with Build 11, you can give money to the church, any church, and that will get your rep back up. I've heard that this method is not as effective with Build 11.

ye I was wondering why donation didnt work.
I tried once saving the girl before but they killed me lol there were three of them, pretty tough, I am at level 10 I think.

When you are sword fighting, are you holding down the "control" key, or whatever key you have set up for block, in between making attacks? When you hold the "Ctrl" key down you can still take a health potion while they are attacking you. You probably know this already, but I'm thinking if you are at level 10 you should be able to take those guys. Maybe you should bring a couple of officers along with you, particularly Boatswains with high melee skills.

The only good advice I have for the swordfighting is, "take your time," if you wait long enough while you are holding a block, the bad guys will eventually all hit at the same time, which gives you an oppotunity for a quick thrust without getting hit. Enough of those and soon, no more bad guys, just adoring maidens. Either that or get Fred Bob to teach you about his famous "Quaker Exploit" fighting method.

It was same with me, but after my rep drop I went to see him, and he said something like "you are still alive...blah blah", and no more loans.
