The Royal Navy's HMS Portland last week intercepted two suspected pirate boats in the Gulf of Aden. The two boats were equipped with extra fuel, grappling hooks, rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns and ammunition. The Portland seized the weapons, but ten pirates on board them were released "due to insufficient evidence to directly link the group to a specific attack", the Ministry of Defence said. The ship then used its heavy machine guns to blow the pirate boat out of the water. A video of this surfaced late last week on Youtube. HMS Portland is part of a multi-national anti-piracy operation in the Gulf off the east coast of Africa.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4nkQsDd0ts&autoplay=0  You can read the full story HERE!
