Quick interface question

Hiya people. Noob here. Heh.. wouldn't have to even ask this if the "instruction manual" were not so anemic!



I just had a second cannoneer join the Darkheath gang, but I can't figure out how to assign an officer other than a Captain to a ship that I'm not personally in charge of. I'm on Xbox.. so how do I assign my new cannoneer to the other ship? (I only have two at the moment.)

This game has been pretty hard so far. I've finally made it to level 6 and am just starting to get used to it.

just mark the slot you want him in ........ and then assign officer ...

oh.. so i have to be in "sea" mode first and "exchange" the officer over to the other ship?

Ahh actually unless im reading this wrong, nah , if you capture a boat it should be a menu option, where you have the "transfer goods" option, and you can only assign a captain with a leadership value point/s if its via buying a ship you need to click on the captin in the shipbuilders menu then select buy ship..... now our esteemed jack sparrow jnr may be right but if he's not try my way

Actually this did work.

I was able to assign a Captain your way Keith, but I couldn't assign a cannoneer to the other ship until I "transferred" the new guy in the harbor.

I still am not getting very far in this. Now that I have 2 Xebecs, every encounter I come into involves a Galleon or Brig and I get killed or run away.. then I spend any piddling cash I get from trading on repairs!

As much as I like this game (conceptually and visually)... it's been horribly frustrating!

Ye might wanna try start'n off wid doing store cargo and tavern escort ship quests tew build up yer rep,skills an abilities mate,put yer skill points on Melee an luck equip yerself wid better weapons,an ye will do much better

your right ....... I said the "grab" icon .... but actual mean the transfeer icon ....... but i use the F3 key, and it handles pretty much the same.....

Xbox has no F2 menu. But it worked transferring him in the harbor.

Am I the only guy on this forum using an Xbox for this game?
