Question

Hello Everyone..

I am using the Build 13 final and i love it..

But if i change the starting year to 1630 will it have any impact on the game and how many years can i play (what year do the game end)

Also how do i change the starting character and are there uniforms for all the starting characters.. (Cant seem to find any, must be my rank..)

And at last.. If i change my starting lvl will it have any impact on the game..

hello Kwitzak;

I'm probably not the most reliable source to tell you this but;For a change of starting level open your 'buildsettings' file. It should have thhis option and lots more; also try 'internal settings' file also in the program folder and there should be the options at the top of the page you can change. I.e, starting ship type, characters available etc. Though i havnt raided the game files for a while so i may be wrong about this.

I'm also using Build 13 Final, and the way I'd change the starting character is to choose the starting character from the menu which appears when you start a new game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> There's also a choice of three ships.

Later during the game, you can change your appearance by visiting the tailor's shop in most of the towns. When you buy new clothes, you also buy a new face to go with them. So if you started the game as Jack Sparrow, then later on you'd prefer to be James Norrington, just go into the shop and look for the right outfit. There's only a small selection at any one time; if what you want isn't on display, tell the shopkeeper you don't want to buy anything, which closes the discussion, then talk to him again and you should get a different selection. Failing that, try the tailor in another port.

Yeah I know; for some reason i had the battle of waterloo in me heads and knew he said that a year before trafalgar and the two just kinda got mixed up...somehow. My mistake! I also think there was more at the beginning like 'luck is no man's fool' or something.

There's some uniformed main character skins, but most are not actually in Build 13.
Thomas the Terror made most of them after it's release.
They're in the Build 14 Alpha though.

The starting date doesn't influence ANYTHING in Build 13 at all.
However, in Build 14 the year will have a MAJOR impact of the game.
