Solved Promotion Reward Ships

That'd require editing EVERY governors' dialog file; right now, the promotion reward code is fairly simple, because it's just called by the promotion code.
So I'd prefer not doing that for simplicity's sake.

ah i didnt know
i bet when people have a fleet, they perhaps dont need a new ship XD, so just not allow the promotion ship if there is no free room
also i bet reward ships can be encountered or bought with chance ? so its not a big problem
you can add a log message saying "you wont get the reward ship cause your fleet is already full" so next time people will try to get an older savegame or be careful next time (perhaps adding a line in tips and tricks can be good ?)
i personnally have maximum 3 ships to hold a place for quests (escort quests)

Some of the reward ships ARE unique, such as the HMS Victory. That's the only place, other than Vanderdecken, where we could put them to use.
Indeed a log message isn't a bad idea.

well is there only one reward ship ? (at ranl 6) or is there a "final" one at last rank ?

if the unique ships are only at lastest rank, the player is already warned by the "rank 6" log message

if there is only one reward ship and only at rank 6... i have no idea exept not giving the ship :/ (is there a way to use "ship berting" (probably mispelled it) so you "bert" the reward ship (and add a log message telling you have a new ship) )

Sounds complicated as well. Just skipping with a log message would be easiest. At least that wouldn't cause bugs and people can return to an earlier save to get it.
There is only one reward ship ever given. :shrug

Done. This is the log message that will be displayed if you already have three ships:
Code:
"You seem to have a pretty impressive squadron of your own. Looks like you won't be needing an additional ship."
Any comments on that by any chance?

"You seem to have a pretty impressive squadron of your own. Looks like you won't be needing the promotion ship."

its perhaps more clear and make people understand better it ?

Changed. :doff
That does sound a bit more unnatural to me, but is indeed clearer. :onya

yes its unatural but players must understand what happens to see what they missed (missing the HMS Victory is REALLY a mess... miss ^^)
