Was doin a mission down Mexico way ina Pirate Town where I was sent to put a certain Captain in line by The Brethern, my orders were to put him in line with the code ur send him to meet Davey Jones, simple mission ye would think <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" /> Not so, The bloke had orderd his crew to light up the powder charges as we were yapp'n an before I knew it the ship blew an ended up on a beach with a wounded leg,.
Finding parts to build a raft, sailed back to my ship as my crew was frantacly search'n for me carcas. Well, after reach'n me ship an pass'n out fer sometime, finaly awoke to find me frigg'n leg was gone. Surgeon promptly informed me he had to remove an infected leg.
Arrrgghh! the life of a pirate can be sometimes harsh. LoL <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

That is the way they introduce the pegleg as a "boot/shoes"option for your character.The next mission will give you a finely crafted wooded leg (same as your old leg) at the tailor, which means, after that mission you can go to tailor and choose your old leg or keep the pegleg if you wish.

hehehe. you had that in puzzle pirates too. we where all kamikazeing our little sloops into the frigate blockade to get an eyepatch, hook or pegleg. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
