Okay so I know about right clicking on skills to read about them,
but I was wondering if there was a list somewhere of what exactly levelling a skill
does. Like what does one point into melee give me?

A coder could give you precise numbers, but what better melee skill does is makes you strikes do a little more damage and you recieve a little less damage from your blocks.

This works with your opponent's statistics also. If he is stronger than you he does more damage to you, and if you are stronger than him you deliver more damage.

Ask Malcolm Hatcher during the Standard storyline tutorial. There are no exact numbers to give, without going through every formula in the game.
