PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

What? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> ..it did not happen with me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

There are references to "CursedPearl" in the other files, (eg character init files and quests_reaction.c) and here it needs to be replaced as well. Note that only one ship in the game can have a skeleton crew because we must set the ship's ID to 164 and the ID is unique for each ship.

ow that is why the game crashed, i used it more than once. okay but why changed the pearl changed into a gunboat? has the gunboat that id-number or something??

I have absolutely no idea what the gunboat has to do with anything. Probably some sort of weird fluke of the game because it doesn't understand you anymore. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> why do these thing always happen to me? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

I dunno. I had a crash when I tried it as well. Took me a little while to actually manage to do it right.

First copy Antigua island and retexture it white and icy. The player must then sail his ship to the "port" which will actually be the end of the world waterfall. Next scene: Black Pearl deck with the sea replaced with a sand-textured very big circle (pretending to be an endless desert). Since we already have a lot of variations on Jack Sparrow models, I think it'd be fun to actually USE them and to put the player on a deck full of different Jacks, then stage a fight between the player and the other Jacks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

And what about the dice game with Davy Jones? When you'd die at sea (in a storm?), you'd find yourself on the Flying Dutchman having to play dice with Davy Jones to get your freedom back - but as Davy would have 10 in luck, you'd more likely end up with 1000 years of service in Davy crew (= funny game over).

LOL. Sounds funny. I'd like it if we'd have Liar's dice similar to a tavern game. We can easily make such a scene if somebody makes the Dutchman's deck and adds the Liar's Dice game. I wonder if there's be some way to continue play after having been sentenced to 100 years of servitude. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

that could be good idea, actually. if you die, you have to play liar's dice, and if you win, you can play on. if you loose, you're dead. this could make dying more interesting, as it's more in your own hands if you can play on or not.

Some news for you! Kazeite has been working on the HMS Interceptor for a while and sent me a screenshot of his work some time ago. He has allowed me to post it in this thread, so be sure to check it out! The first post has been updated.

the blue looks...wrong. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> i'm not sure what's wrong with it, but it's just not the right shade. maybe too green. i like the overall shape of it though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I dare say the blue is just a placeholder colour. Kazeite knows what he does.

I agree 100% with you on that one. Kazeite's ships are some of the best I've seen in any pirate game. I look forward to sailing ANY ship he creates.

well, i hope it get's better. at the moment, i'm not that enthousiastic about it.

Yup, the blue color is placeholder one. The goal of this exercise is to make customisable texture, since I want to make <i>Lady Washington</i> version as well without redrawing entire skin <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Above waterline entire ship has base wood texture, actually, the same you can see between blue parts <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Anyway, I have a question about first Jack Sparrow skin. If you recall, I made my own version of that skin, and the general consensus was that his face was worse than this custom Jack's face, but my bandana was better (and it damn well should be - I used photos of Jack to recreate the pattern <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> ). So, there was a proposition to combine both skins, taking best qualities from both of them.

So, was it done? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

It was not done. I don't even know where to find your skin anymore. I don't even recall you ever uploading it. If you still have it, could you upload it please and we can see if we can do it after all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Is there any possibility that all of the mods from the topichead will be included in the next build? I haven't seen some of them before, and I must say, they are astonishing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Thanks a lot, Kazeite! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Except for the unreleased stuff. But that's not more than normal; I can't add what I don't have.
